Nevada's first private, non-profit spay/neuter clinic is now open.
The goal is to spay or neuter 10,000 high-risk animals that otherwise would have been left to continually have litters. This uncontrolled birth rate is responsible for over 30,000 animals a year being killed at local shelters, that run out of room.
Nevada can't adopt its way out of this problem. The only solution to reduce the numbers that die is to reduce the birth rate.
